The South Coast runs from Kiama and Gerringong through the Shoalhaven towns of Berry, Nowra, Milton and Ulladulla, then south through Batemans Bay and Narooma to Eden near the Victorian border. Nowra is the largest centre, with the Jervis Bay villages to its south-east, and the Princes Highway links almost every town along the way.

Princes Highway

Getting to work and around the region
Most people on the South Coast drive, often for long distances, because towns are spread out and public transport is thin south of Bomaderry. Kiama and Gerringong residents may commute to Wollongong or Sydney by train, while Shoalhaven workers travel to Nowra, the naval bases and the Bomaderry industrial area.
Motorcycling. The Kings Highway over Clyde Mountain and Moss Vale Road through Kangaroo Valley are popular riding roads, with steep, tight sections.
